Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Residents and motorists in the Chingrighata-Sukant Nagar area are expressing concern over a potentially dangerous situation caused by a number of potholes on the road at the end of the flyover leading to Nicco Park Sector 5.
The caved-in portions of the road have led to anxiety among drivers, who initially feared that the collapse was due to the installation of a pillar for the Garia Airport Metro.
According to sources, the debris from the potholes has been accumulating and spreading, raising the risk of accidents. Residents are calling on the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) or Rail Vikas Nigam to urgently take action to clear the debris from the road.
The deteriorating conditions of the road have caused alarm among locals and motorists alike, as the risk of accidents has increased in recent days. The concerned parties have appealed to the authorities to address the situation and remove the debris from the road as soon as possible, in order to prevent any potential accidents.
